Komatsu Australia is a long-established business with a long-term outlook. The Information Security team is funded properly, has executive support, and works with peers across the global Komatsu Group. The program is mature enough to do interesting work — not just keeping the lights on.

We work hybrid as standard (two to three days in the office). Most roles include occasional out-of-hours work for major incidents; we compensate for it. Per-person training and certification budget is published annually.

Senior Security Operations Analyst

Lidcombe NSW · Hybrid · Full-time · permanent

Tier 2/3 detection engineering and triage within the Komatsu Australia SOC. You'll write detections in Microsoft Sentinel, lead investigations end-to-end, and contribute to incident response runbooks.

Must have: Five-plus years in a SOC or detection engineering role. Strong hands-on with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR. Comfortable reading PowerShell, KQL, and basic scripting.

Nice to have: GCFA, GCIH, OSCP. Background in manufacturing, mining, or industrial environments. Experience with operational technology security.

Identity & Access Engineer

Own the design, deployment, and ongoing management of identity controls across Komatsu Australia — Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM, and federated identity for downstream applications.

Must have: Five-plus years operating Microsoft Entra ID in a regulated enterprise environment. Strong with Conditional Access policy design and PIM. Demonstrable experience with SAML/OIDC federations and application integrations.

Nice to have: SC-300, SC-100. Familiarity with SailPoint or Saviynt. SAP identity integration experience.

Information Security Manager — Governance & Risk

Lead Komatsu Australia's information security governance program — policy lifecycle, third-party risk, internal audit liaison, and reporting to the Risk Committee.

Must have: Seven-plus years in information security governance or risk roles. Comfortable presenting to executive and board-level audiences. Strong written communication and policy authoring.

Nice to have: Mining, manufacturing, or industrial sector experience. Background in third-party risk programs.
